Harvey went under fire after he did a segment on his show poking fun at self-help and dating books (like his book Act Like a Lady, Think Like A Man).
The joke became racial when he brought up a made-up title, How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men, and then went on to say that women in general didn’t find Asian men attractive:
Of course, the joke started a polarizing argument where some viewed those offended as being “sensitive.”
Overall, we’re glad that Harvey decided to apologize. If those same comments had been made about Black men, we doubt he would have taken them so lightly, isn’t that right Steve!
