1. 1993 – ‘Full House’
Although Smollett made her television debut in 1991 with ‘Sunday in Paris,’ and was an extra on ‘Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper’ and ‘Martin’ the following year, her career picked up after landing a recurring role on the popular ABC sitcom.
2. 1994 – ‘On Our Own’
The NAACP Image Award-winning actress starred alongside her five siblings (Jazz, Jake, Jocqui, Jojo, and Jussie Smollett) as they navigate life as orphans after losing their parents. The show was executive produced by David W. Duclon, one of the EPs of ‘Family Matters,’ and was canceled after one season at ABC.
3. 1998 – ‘Eve’s Bayou’
An 11-year-old Smollett is photographed on the red carpet of the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in 1998 where she won her first award for Best Child Performance in the Samuel L. Jackson feature film.
4. 2001 – ‘Ruby’s Bucket of Blood’

“He said, ‘This is Tyler Perry.’ And I was like, ‘Shut up. This ain’t no Tyler Perry.’ I thought it was my brother or someone playing a prank on me,” Smollett recalled to The Hollywood Reporter in 2013. Perry had written the script with the then 26-year-old actor in mind.
10. 2013 – ‘True Blood’
Smollett stunned on the premiere of HBO’s ‘True Blood’ Season 7 premiere. This sleek black dress clearly marked her debut as a fashionista!
11. 2017 – ‘Underground’
Smollett did not come to play in her all-white suit at the For Your Consideration Event for WGN’s ‘Underground Railroad.’

Black was definitely made for the ‘Black Canary’ actress. Wearing a Guy Laroche sheer feathered dress, she was styled by the famously talented stylist Law Roach.
13. 2021 – NAACP Image Awards
“Got dressed up to attend the @naacpimageawards from my living room and I lost to my Queen @violadavis!!! Yay!!! Legendary moment!!,” Smollett jokingly captioned her Instagram post. Smollett switched up her look with a sleek blunt bob.
